- What happens after I place my order? Do I get a proof before printing?
  
  Yes, you'll always see a proof before we print.
  
  After checkout, our Prepress team checks your artwork and emails you a 2D digital proof (PDF) within 24 hours.
  
  You then have 3 business days to approve it, request changes, or update your design yourself. Need a hand? Message our Prepress team right from the proof page.
  
  We'll send reminders. If we haven't heard from you by the 4th business day, we'll approve the proof for you and start production to prevent more delays. After that, we can't make changes or cancel, so review your proof as soon as it lands.
- How do I know if my art is printable?
  
  Our Prepress team reviews your artwork before production and flags anything that might not print as you expect: low-resolution images, small text, thin lines, or artwork orientation. You'll see those notes on your digital proof, and if you're not sure how to fix one, our Prepress reps are happy to help.
  
  One thing we don't review is content. Please check your spelling, layout, colors, scannable codes, and specs yourself. We print exactly what's on the approved proof, so anything missed there prints that way too.
- What is the turnaround time on my order?
  
  Most custom packaging takes 7 to 15 business days to produce, varying by product and increasing with quantity. Production starts once you approve your proof, and shipping time is separate.
  
  For your actual dates, design your packaging and enter your address at checkout. Dates shown there are our best estimates, not guarantees.
  
  Need it sooner? Rush Production is available on select products and quantities. Pair it with expedited shipping, and approve your proof as soon as it lands to keep your date on track.
- Can I get an instant quote for my order?
  
  Yes. Pick your style, size, material, quantity, and print options on any product page, and your price updates as you go. No forms, no waiting on a sales rep.
  
  Ordering in bulk, or need something we don't make standard? Share your project details through Packlane Plus, our team for large and custom runs, and we'll send you a quote.
- Can you print inside the box?
  
  Yes, on every box style we make, including Mailer Boxes, Shipping Boxes, and Product Boxes. Inside printing is one of the easiest ways to make an unboxing feel intentional.
  
  Design both sides right in our free 3D Design Tool. If you'd rather upload your own files, label them "Box Interior" and "Box Exterior" so our Prepress team knows which is which.
- What is a dieline and how do I get one?
  
  A dieline is a flat template that shows where your packaging folds and cuts. You build your artwork on top of it so everything lines up once assembled.
  
  Our 3D Design Tool shows the dieline right on the canvas, so there's nothing to download.
  
  If you design in Adobe Illustrator or a similar program, you can get yours free. Choose your options on the product page, click Upload Now, then select Download Dieline Template. Build your artwork on that PDF and upload it when you're ready to order.

Q: How do I resolve notes that were sent with my proof (artwork concerns)?

Before sending your proof, our Prepress team reviews your artwork for potential printing concerns, such as low-resolution images, small text, thin lines, artwork orientation, and other common concerns. You can update your artwork to address these recommendations , or approve your proof and print it as is. Please note that Packlane cannot offer compensation for print quality issues if a proof is approved with unresolved artwork concerns. Will I see a proof for my order? How do I know if my art is printable?

How do I view a 3D proof?

1. Download or save the proof file to your computer.

2. Open either Adobe Acrobat Pro (paid) or Adobe Acrobat Reader (free download) .

3. From within the Adobe application , click File > Open and select the 3D file you saved to your computer.
Please note that double-clicking the file name to open the file may not work properly.

4. When you open the file, you'll see a yellow warning about its active content. Click the dropdown on the right and select Trust this document always .

5. Click your cursor anywhere on the screen, and the interactive view will appear.

6. From here, you can click and drag to rotate the view and inspect the box design from all angles.
