Yes! We offer inside printing on all box styles, including Mailer Boxes, Shipping Boxes, and Product Boxes.  

You can design both the inside and outside of your box using our online 3D Design Tool. For a complete walkthrough and additional design tips, see our walkthrough for designing the inside of a box on the 3D Design Tool. 

If you are submitting artwork files to us for two-sided (inside and outside) printing, please label each file clearly (for example, Box Interior and Box Exterior) so our Prepress team can prepare your proofs accurately. For complete setup instructions, dieline requirements, and artwork tips, see our guidelines on setting up artwork on a dieline template. 

Yes. All Packlane boxes are printed and manufactured in the USA. We source materials locally, resulting in a lower carbon footprint than packaging manufacturers that source materials internationally. 

We do! At Packlane, we care about sustainability. Most of our paper-based material options contain recycled content to the highest degree allowed by industry standards. 

Kraft, Faux Kraft, Standard White, and Econoflex corrugated materials are made with a majority of recycled content. Other materials–such as Dreamcoat corrugated board and SBS cardstock for Product Boxes–contain less recycled content due to the manufacturing process. 

Our boxes are also printed in the USA using materials sourced within each local region, resulting in a lower carbon footprint than manufacturers that source raw or finished materials from overseas. 

All our unprinted box materials are fully recyclable.

Our corrugated boxes are made with single-wall corrugated board.

The thickness of your box depends on the box style and material. Our corrugated boxes use single-wall corrugated board in either E-Flute or B-Flute thickness, while Product Boxes are made from 14pt, 18pt, or 24pt cardstock paperboard. 

Because every box is custom-sized, each box's weight varies with its dimensions and material.

The finish of boxes depends on the selected material and print finish (or coating).  

• Standard White  corrugated   material   has a mottled white surface in unprinted areas with a matte finish. 
• Kraft  corrugated   material has a natural brown color in unprinted areas with a matte finish.
• Faux Kraft  corrugated   material is white before the printing process, overprinted with a kraft pattern. Faux Kraft has a matte finish. 
• Dreamcoat  corrugated   material   has a premium bright white clay-coated surface and is available with a satin finish.
• Cardstock  boxes are available with  gloss, high gloss, matte,  and  soft touch  finishes.

Mailer Boxes are shipped flat and require simple assembly before use.

HDPrint is our premium printing option for corrugated boxes, designed to deliver sharp print details and a consistent finished surface. 

Benefits of HDPrint include: 

• Sharper print quality  with fine lines, small text, and detailed graphics 

• Low to no ink odor  on finished boxes 

• A more  environmentally friendly  single-pass printing process that reduces waste compared to many print processes

HDPrint is available in the following options: 

Faux Kraft is created by printing a natural kraft pattern on both the inside and outside of the box, on Standard White material with a matte finish. This technique creates the natural look and feel of Kraft while producing vibrantly colored graphics, with the added option to simulate white-ink printing on Kraft in unprinted areas. Econoflex is our single-color (black ink) printing option, featuring crisp lines and detailed artwork on 100% recycled and recyclable corrugated material. It offers print quality similar to traditional flexographic printing while providing an economical solution for custom packaging.

Packlane has implemented QR codes across all product lines to speed up processing and ensure customers receive the correct orders. 

These codes are carefully placed so they will not be visible once boxes are assembled. They are placed after proofing, so you will not see a preview of the code’s placement. You can see an example of a QR placed on a Mailer Box below.

For sealing and shipping corrugated boxes, Packlane recommends reinforced, custom-printed Water-Activated Tape; it provides strong adhesion and is tamper-evident.

Yes! In addition to what you see on our website, our Packlane packaging experts can design and quote an even wider variety of box styles tailored to your specific needs.

Yes, we do! Just like our boxes, we offer fully customized cardstock or corrugated cardboard inserts to fit inside any custom boxes you order from us.  

All our inserts are custom-made to order, just like our boxes. We don't currently offer ready-made inserts or dividers. The current minimum for custom inserts is 2,000 units if you need assistance with creating a dieline file (template) for the insert itself.
